Baseball Postseason

Even though I'm a Yankee fan, I think I'd like to see a Red Sox-Cubs World Series. Not only would it improve the mood of my professors, but it could keep the Red Sox fans from whining for the next 90 years. And it would probably help abate the global warning problem when Hell inevitably freezes over after one of them wins.

The next 90 years? Heck, the Rangers won the cup less than a decade ago, but Rangers fans now are all bitter about how long it's been since the Rangers made the playoffs (or maybe it's just me).

Boston fans will whine when they want to whine. Hopefully, when you meet one of them, you'll be forgiving and let them have their peace. Meanwhile, I'll be sitting here hoping the Pats win the division.

You seem to have some interesting loyalties. Bitter about the Rangers, and rooting for the Pats? So which side of the Connecticut river are you rooting for in the ALCS?

If it's not going to shut up the Red Sox fans I may not be so magnanimous about their getting to the World Series. On the other hand, objectively, it would probably be good for baseball. And it would be exciting to have the World Series down the block from me. Plus if they play the Cubs, the Series would go on forever since everyone knows that neither team can actually win.
