It looks like I will finally become a lawyer in January. So it looks like I may need my new blog around then too.
In anticipation of this change, I wanted to solicit readers' feedback for what should change - or stay the same - in the next incarnation. I'm currently toying with using the "extended entry" area to keep my long posts from swallowing up the front page, and new categories with separate RSS feeds so that people can subscribe just to the bits they find interesting. (While I think that means people would miss some good stuff, I think I'd rather have them miss a little bit of good stuff than not read any of it at all.)
Anything else? Look and feel-wise? Content-wise? Speak up now, or you don't get to complain later ;-)

One thought: The things you write about on this page are quite private. If you want to keep doing this while working, you should make the new site under a pseudonym, e.g. RussianGangster32.
If you don't, you might end like the guy in "Hilarious lawyer". Or was it Unanimous Lawyer ? I forgot the name of the guy. See how it works? I may overdo the joke, but the point may be valid, cave workin-lifem!

I think the new blog will be inherently less personal. I put a lot out here because I'm committed to telling the Great Change story honestly and transparently. But the new, more professional blog won't require that so much, and I'd like to reclaim some ethos that I currently lose here by being so open and showing vulnerabilities.
At the same time, however, I still stand by my opinions, I will continue to want to express them publicly, and many of them may be about silly, non-law things just because I derive a lot of pleasure from writing about them. (And presumably people derive pleasure from reading them, if I write about them well.)
